The title, which pits players on the side of either terrorists, or counter-terrorists, unfolds with a variety of challenges and objectives. Those who play as the terrorists must complete bombings, assassinate characters, and sneak their way around maps without being caught by counter terrorist players. On the contrary, those who play as counter terrorist members must prevent all of the following from happening.
The title, which first made its appearance in late 2000, presented users with a modified version of half-life. Players simply were tasked with playing as either a terrorist, or a counter-terrorist. Terrorists were assigned to plant bombs, assassinate targets, and attack locations before being discovered by enemies. Counter-terrorists on the other hand, were tasked with preventing all of that from happening.

Navigate to the folder you just installed your server in. There should be a bunch of files and folders, including a directory with the name of the game you have just installed, e.g. cstrike for Counter-Strike (1.6). The configuration files are located in the /cfg/ e.g. cstrike/cfg/ directory.
A bomb will explode when its countdown timer reaches 0:00 or when too many strikes have been recorded. The only way to defuse a bomb is to disarm all of its modules before its countdown timer expires.
When the Defuser makes a mistake, the bomb will record a strike which will be displayed on the indicator above the countdown timer. Bombs with a strike indicator will explode upon the third strike. The timer will begin to count down faster after a strike has been recorded.
In the archive with the cache there is a servers.txt file, which lists the working servers and how to connect to them (the server search section does not work).The cache is the original version v92 (6630498) from Steam with official translation of the text into Russian, which added disabling dynamic light sources (because of them, performance deteriorates on some devices after shooting), to remove this change, delete the file \cstrike\cstrike\cfg\autoexec.cfg
